Template Software Announces SNAP® I2M Patent Pending
June 6, 2007, Arlington VA. Template Software announced that a patent application for SNAP I2M, Intelligent Information Manager, had been filed and accepted by the US Patent and Trademark Office. SNAP® I2M provides world-wide enterprise information sharing that converts data from disparate sources to actionable information in near real time. SNAP® I2M’s web-based AI Technology organizes data, applies business logic and displays information so the enterprise can act collaboratively to improve productivity and performance.
Richard Munro, President of Template Software stated that "SNAP I2M combines technologies for organizing and analyzing existing data using rule-based expert system techniques to create new capabilities that we believe are unique in the market."
The patent application focuses on SNAP I2M's ability to connect existing data sources to other applications without the need for expensive custom coding. Dave Hillman, Template Vice President for Software Development, explains that "SNAP I2M solves the problem of hooking disparate data sources to COTS [Commercial Off the Shelf] products through intelligent processing. The key is the use of our "Data Cube" technology and flexible middleware to rapidly integrate your data in a real-time environment. We offer web-based tools that enable you to drill through your data, and have developed intelligent processing techniques that enable you to create rule sets to comprehensively analyze your data. Finally, intelligent processing enables you to make sense of your data to more effectively deliver it to a range of commercial off the shelf COTS products."
